·         Back Support
Essential to have a good back support. Everyone’s shape of spine varies greatly. The seat back plays a critical role in supporting the spine and must adjust to accommodate these differences among people. A very important consideration in seating comfort and injury prevention is the proper design of the lumbar support. Lumbar support is provided with different levels of performance, the various types are:
o   Fixed Support- Based on seating standards, a curvature is designed into the lower seat back to support the lumbar spine. Unfortunately, one size does not fit all.
o   Single-Axis Adjustable Support- The lower back seat curvature is adjustable in at least one direction. Typically the curve may be raised or lowered.
o   Dual-Axis Adjustable Support- The lower back seat curvature is adjustable in two directions.
o   Asymmetric Adjustable Support- This offers the highest available performance

·         Arm Rest
Supporting arm weight reduces the stress on the spine, fatigue and soreness armrests should be used intermittently while working. It is also preferable that the armrests are adequately padded and adjustable

·         Seat Depth Adjustment
Good ergonomic seating incorporates several inches of adjustable seat pan depth

·         The chair should also feature
Forward Tilt, Seat recline, and its height should be fully adjustable. It is also desirable that it swivels
YES

·         Adjustable Foot rest
Adjustable footrests are a good option especially when a desk is not adjustable- they are especially great for shorter people
YES

·         Adjustable desk
The desk should be fully adjustable, however that is not always possible. By adjusting the chair height we must ensure that the wrist lay straight on the table, the knee angle is 90 degrees as well as the seat and arm angle, feet are flat on the floor , viewing distance is between 18-24 inches and the viewing angle is 60 degrees.
